Khojayan Anna Borisovna

Anna Borisovna Khodjayan graduated from the Stavropol State Medical Institute in 1981 with a degree in pediatrics.

In 1982, she was accepted as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Biology of the SSMI, in 1984 she was approved as an assistant at the Department of Biology of the SSMI.

In 1985-1989, she was trained in correspondence postgraduate studies at the Stavropol State Medical Institute in the specialty "hygiene", defended her PhD thesis on the topic "Determination of the possible mutagenic effect of liquid complex fertilizers for the purpose of hygienic standardization". In 1989, she was awarded the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

In 1992 she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: "Problems of the influence of anthropogenic environmental factors on the health of pregnant women and children".

In 2000, by order of the Rector of StSMA, she was appointed professor of the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics, in 2001 she was awarded the academic title of professor, from 11/24/2004 she was appointed head of the Department of Biology with Ecology of StSMA. Since 01.09.2015, she has been transferred to the position of professor of the Department of Biology.

From 05.07.2010 to the present, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor A.B. Khodjayan is the Vice-rector for Academic Activities of StSMU, a member of the Academic Council of StSMU, Chairman of the problem commission on hygiene and public health, Chairman of the Coordination and Methodological Council, Chairman of the Quality Council.

Her work experience at StSMU is 37 years.

Under the guidance of Anna Borisovna Khojayan, 9 candidate's and 2 doctoral dissertations were defended. Currently, Anna Borisovna is a scientific consultant of 3 doctoral dissertations performed and a scientific supervisor of 4 candidate dissertations performed.

The main direction of scientific research is the ecological well–being of Stavropol and the state of health of its population.
