The Interethnic Student Council of StSMU was formed in order to ensure interaction with national and cultural autonomies, diasporas, public associations, strengthen interethnic relations among students, as well as improve student academic performance, and prevent offenses.

Tasks of the Interethnic Council:

- strengthening friendly relations and interaction with national diasporas;

- improving the academic performance and discipline of university students, assisting in the adaptation of first-year students in the student environment;

- development of proposals for the harmonization of interethnic relations, prevention and settlement of interethnic relations, prevention and settlement of interethnic conflicts on the territory of the University;

- holding mass events aimed at strengthening cultural ties between representatives of different nationalities
