The laboratory conducts a lifetime diagnostic study in order to establish the nature of the disease, conduct differential diagnosis of early forms of malignant neoplasms, establish tumor histogenesis, assess the intensity of dystrophic, inflammatory, reparative and other processes.

The purpose of the Laboratory is the morphological study of biopsy, surgical, sectional and experimental materials.

The objectives of the laboratory are:

• Assistance in conducting morphological research in the field of surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, traumatology and orthopedics, urology, pediatric surgery, oncology and other biomedical specialties, while performing planned scientific work by employees, graduate students, doctoral students and university applicants.

• Planning and organization of histological and histochemical studies within the framework of contractual services with legal entities and individuals.

• To study the prospects of application and practical implementation of modern methods of morphological research of biological materials.

LABORATORY FUNCTIONS

1. Histological and histochemical studies of experimental material;

2. Histological and histochemical examination of biopsy and surgical materials received from structural divisions of the university, as well as from legal entities and individuals under a contract for the provision of paid medical services, as well as services in the CMI system.

3. Studying the prospects for the introduction of modern morphological research into practical healthcare;

4. Organization of educational and research work of students.
