StSMU delegation took part in the IV Belarusian-Russian Forum "We live and remember"

On April 24-25, the IV Belarusian-Russian Forum "We Live and Remember" was hosted in the capital of the Republic of Belarus. The Forum was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
    The event was held at the Belarusian State Medical University. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus V.S. Karanik, Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus A.V. Khodzhaev, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus A.I. Ivanets and other officials. The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, sent his video message to the Forum participants. Representatives of 24 universities of the two countries participated in the events. The delegation of Stavropol State Medical University was headed by the first Vice–rector, Vice-rector for Educational Affairs, Professor A.B. Khojayan. The reports were presented by the Head of the Department of Biology, MD, Associate Professor M.G. Gevandova, 4th year student of the Faculty of General Medicine B. Novikov, 2nd year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics Z. Gradinar.
   The Forum participants visited the Khatyn memorial complex, took part in the planting of Victory Square and the laying of a memorial sign on the territory of the Belarusian State Medical University dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The participants also attended a festive concert with the participation of the exemplary orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
     Historians of StSMU and BSMU discussed plans for further cooperation in preserving the memory of the feat of medical workers during the Great Patriotic War.
