The All-Russian Olympiad with international participation in the provision of emergency and emergency care "Asclepius-2025" was held at StSMU

On April 17 and 18, Stavropol State Medical University hosted the VII All-Russian Olympiad on Emergency and Emergency Care "Asclepius-2025" with international participation.
    This year, 11 teams participated in the Olympiad: "MedBio" - Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University; "FAST" - International Center for Medical Education, Chennai, India; "Panacea" - Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University; "Skif Aid" - Kuban State Medical University; "Lege Artis" - Rostov State Medical University; "First Med First Aid" - First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov; "RAS" - Medical Institute of Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov; "MedArt" - Medical Institute of the North Caucasus State Medical Academy; "Radiance" - Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute of the Volgograd State Medical University branch; "Guardians of Life" - Stavropol State Medical University; "Elixir of Paracelsus" - Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov.
     During two competitive days, the student teams passed 5 competitive stages accompanied by StSMU's "First Aid" instructors.

    Five stations of the "Medical Biathlon" made it possible to determine the level of practical skills and manipulations performed on mannequins by all team players. On the obstacle course, the students performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, airway release using Heimlich's technique, demonstrated the technique of applying an arterial tourniquet, applying a bandage to the head with fixation of the lower jaw.
    In the Emergency Room, participants assigned the roles of an emergency room therapist, surgeon, and intensive care specialist to provide emergency care in simulated situations such as injuries, polytrauma, fractures, and traumatic brain injury.
  In the captain's competition, team leaders demonstrated knowledge in the field of military field surgery, toxicology, and emergency medical care.
     The quest "Legends of the University" allowed the teams to show how well and professionally they act, providing assistance in case of accidents. The roles of the "victims of accidents" were masterfully performed by the students of StSMU: their plausible make-up, simulations reflecting the clinical picture, became vivid evidence that the students of the organizing university made every effort to prepare for the Olympiad.
     The main part of the competition program was the contest "Providing emergency and emergency care in an emergency situation." This time, according to legend, the student teams had to work in the earthquake zone, where injured people were trapped under the rubble. The participants assessed the severity of the condition and the type of injury, provided first aid to the slightly injured, patients in moderate condition, and the seriously injured, organized evacuation, and then reported their actions to the jury.

2nd place:
- "MedArt" - Medical Institute of the North Caucasus State Academy.
3rd place:
- "RAS" - Medical Institute of the Chechen State University named after A.A. Kadyrov.
