The StSMU team took the 2nd place in the V All-Russian Student Olympiad in Physiology "Human matrix" with international participation

On April 10-13, Dagestan State Medical University hosted the final stage of the V All-Russian Student Olympiad in Physiology "Human matrix" with international participation, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Cosmonautics Day and the 60th anniversary of A.A. Leonov's spacewalk.
   47 teams of medical universities from various regions of Russia, as well as Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Tajikistan participated in the semifinal, which took place on March 22.
   The honor of Stavropol State Medical University was defended by the Nexus team, which included students from the Medical and Pediatric faculties. The team was accompanied by mentors - the head of the Department of Normal and Pathological Physiology, Professor L.D. Tsaturyan, who was a member of the expert commission, and the assistant of the department, A.I. Uvarova.
     On the first day of the Olympiad, students were trained in the use of digital technologies (AR, VR) by General Director E.A. Kostyushkov and medical expert of MEDVIAR LLC, member of the Association of the Russian Society of Medical Education Specialists, M.A. Gorshkova in the DSMU Biological Building. On the same day, a round table meeting of the heads of the departments of normal physiology was held - "Integration of scientific research and modern technologies in the educational process of the departments of normal physiology of medical universities in Russia and the CIS countries."  
    The second and subsequent days of the Olympiad were devoted to creative and intellectual contests.
         The StSMU team was able to show the jury its ingenuity, practical skills, erudition, solidarity, and desire to win, and – as a result - shared the honorable second place with the Neva (Pavlov Moscow State Medical University) and PD (Patrice Lumumba RUDN University) teams and was awarded a diploma and a cup.
