StSMU co-organized the conference "Multidisciplinary approach in the organization of surgical care for newborns"

On December 19, Stavropol hosted a scientific and practical conference with international participation, organized by Stavropol State Medical University and the Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory.
     The conference became a platform for the exchange of experience, scientific ideas and medical technologies between more than 300 specialists in the field of pediatric surgery, neonatology, anesthesiology and intensive care medicine from the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, the Dominican Republic and Israel, as well as representatives of the participating universities of the SEMC (Scientific and Educational Medical Cluster) "North Caucasian": StSMU, DSMU, SOGMA, PMPI, CSU, NCSHTA and the medical faculties of IngSU and KBSU.
     The scientific and practical forum discussed topical issues of abdominal and thoracic surgery in childhood, as well as innovative technologies and clinical cases in surgical neonatology; considered issues related to the specifics of providing care to newborn children with surgical pathology at various stages of patient care; developed approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of newborns with congenital and acquired diseases in pediatric surgery, neonatology, and intensive care medicine. 
     The knowledge gained and the exchange of work experience will contribute to improving the quality of specialized medical care for newborns in the North Caucasus, as well as in other regions of Russia and abroad.
