Minaev Sergey Viktorovich, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, doctor of the highest qualification category. From 1994 to the present, he combines teaching and scientific and practical work with the work of a pediatric surgeon in the Pediatric surgical department No. 1 of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital of Stavropol. After graduating from the Stavropol State Medical Institute in 1994-96, he studied in a clinical residency in the specialty "Pediatric Surgery" of the StGMA. From 1996 to 1998 he was a target postgraduate student at the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. After defending his dissertation, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Stavropol State Medical Academy, and since 2005 as a professor and head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery. In 2004 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. In 2008. Minaev S.V. was awarded the academic title of professor at the Department of Pediatric Surgery.

During his work, Minaev S.V. showed high qualities in training students and doctors in the specialty of pediatric surgery, conducting scientific research and working together with doctors of practical healthcare. The use of an ultrasound scalpel by Minaev S.V. made it possible to carry out radical surgical interventions for malignant neoplasms of the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space in children with previously considered incurable tumors. The use of the author's method of preventing the development of the adhesive process after abdominal interventions has allowed several times to reduce the amount of adhesive intestinal obstruction in children. Actively conducts counseling and treatment of sick children from the cities and districts of the Stavropol Territory and the republics of the North Caucasus Federal District. Annually conducts and participates in medical consultations of serious patients on the basis of the regional and city children's clinical hospitals of Stavropol. Performs high-tech surgical interventions using endosurgical equipment.

He has published 364 printed works (including 42 in the foreign press), 2 monographs, 2 electronic publications for students, 10 educational and methodical manuals, 6 practical manuals for doctors, 1 medical technology "Technologies of systemic enzyme therapy in pediatric practice". He has 10 patents for inventions and utility models, 2 innovation proposals.

For the period 2010-2015, a grant was received from the President of the Russian Federation for the support of Russian scientists of doctors of Sciences "Predicting the development of complications in newborns and infants with congenital gastrointestinal tract defects" (2010 - 2011) and a Grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the support of Russian scientists of candidates of Sciences "Predicting the development of necrotizing enterocolitis in newborns with a delay intrauterine development" (2012-2013).

On the basis of the Research Center No. 464, the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital conducted a "Multicenter randomized, double-blind, comparative study to assess the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetic properties of daptomycin and a comparison drug in the treatment of children and adolescents suffering from acute hematogenous osteomyelitis caused by gram-positive microorganisms" DAP-PEDOST-11-03. Currently, 3 clinical trials are being conducted.

Under the guidance of Minaev S.V., 21 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertation were completed and defended. Currently carries out the management: 2 full-time and 3 part-time graduate students. He is the head of the SSS for pediatric surgery of StSMU. During the work, the students of the circle participated in the work and were prize-winners of student scientific conferences of StSMU and All-Russian scientific student conferences on pediatric surgery. SSS in pediatric surgery of StSMU has repeatedly been a prize-winner of All-Russian student conferences on pediatric surgery. He organized and participated in the organization of scientific forums at the regional, district and Russian levels. He has made presentations at regional, All-Russian and international conferences and congresses.

Since 2010, Prof. Minaev S.V. is the president of the Small Medical Academy (MMA) of StSMU. Conducts career guidance work with applicants - students of grades 8-11 in various branches of medicine. Organizes and conducts biomedical Olympiads for students entering StSMU. Conducts group and mass student educational events, including the "Open Day".

He has certificates: in pediatric surgery, in pediatric oncology, in pediatric urology-andrology. Since 2005, he has the highest qualification category in the specialty "Pediatric Surgery". Since 1993 he has been a full member of the Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons, since 2003 - a full member of the European Association of Pediatric Surgeons (EUPSA). He is the chief freelance specialist-expert in pediatric surgery of Roszdravnadzor in the Southern Federal District. Since 2013, he has been a Federal expert of the RSCCE Research Institute.Member of the Dissertation Council D208.082.04 on pediatric surgery at Rostov State Medical University. Professor S.V. Minaev is the scientific editor of the scientific and practical journal "Medical Bulletin of the North Caucasus".
