The total work experience of Nikolay Ivanovich Ivensky, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate Professor, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation is 44 years, 39 years at the university.

For 20 years, N. I. Ivensky has been dealing with the problem of pain, which has led to the development and introduction into practical healthcare of non-drug methods of anesthesia, which, along with high efficiency, have minimal inhibition of the main vital functions of the body of patients.

N. I. Ivensky is the only neurostomatologist in the region who treats neuropathies and neuralgias of the trigeminal and facial nerves, is a member of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Problems of Neurostomatology and Dentistry". Over the past 3 years, he has treated more than 300 patients.

For 29 years, he headed the dental faculty of StSMU, StSMU, which occupies a worthy place among other faculties of the university, where future doctors and researchers are trained. 

Since September 2017, he has been working as the head of the Department of Organization of Dental Care, Management and Prevention of Dental Diseases.

The main direction of scientific research is the problem of pain.
